Clear responsibility

How to use this random task and topic assigner

The Task Assigner turns a list of topics or responsibilities into a clear allocation. Use people from the shared roster, groups or teams already created in ShuffleCue, or custom groups made for the current activity.

Tasks save in your browser, can be moved up or down, and appear in the final result in the same order. Unassigned tasks and people are clearly identified before you share the result.

Several recipient types

Assign to individuals, existing random groups, generated teams, or custom groups.

Flexible people counts

Use one count for every task or define a different count for each task.

Clear coverage checks

See unassigned tasks and people immediately, then resolve the remaining allocation.

Step by step

Set up a clear result

  1. 1

    Enter tasks in order

Add one task per row and use the move controls to set the final display sequence.

  2. 2

    Choose who receives them

Select people, saved groups, saved teams, or custom groups.

  3. 3

    Set allocation rules

Choose counts, decide whether tasks may repeat, and review the available recipient summary.

  4. 4

    Generate and check

Create assignments, resolve any unassigned item, then shuffle again or share the result.

Good practice

Use the result thoughtfully

Use an action verb

Write tasks with a clear action and expected outcome so recipients know what completion means.

Balance effort

Review the expected time and difficulty, not only the number of tasks assigned.

Keep one source of truth

Present or download the final allocation so everyone can return to the same result.

Common questions

Answers before you begin

Can I reuse groups or teams already created?

Yes. Existing results are offered automatically under the relevant assignment option.

Can one person appear in multiple people-based assignments?

No. A person is used once during each generated people allocation.

What happens when a task has no recipient?

It is marked Unassigned in red so you can revise the setup or assign it manually.

Your group stays private.

ShuffleCue processes names, ratings, tasks, and results on your device. Clearing your browser data removes saved rosters. Read the full privacy policy.
